On Tuesday, January 5, everyone was getting ready to head out the door for another day of school. Brian was helping Karter zip his coat up and the next thing we knew, Karter had completely passed out! He was out for about 15 - 20 seconds. When he came too, he was not with it at all. I ran Kailee and Kolin to school, quickly ran into my school and wrote lesson plans, and met Brian at our regular doctor's office. I had called ahead, so they were ready for us. After about a 20 minute examination, and Karter was still not himself, our Dr. sent us to the Emergency Room. We spent the entire day in the ER. They ran and EKG, and did a CT scan. Then they referred us to Children's Hospital in the Seizure Clinic. That is what they think Karter had, a seizure. Not sure why, so we have more test in our future. Next Tuesday he will be admitted into Children's hospital for a EEG and an MRI. Hopefully all the test come back as just a fluke. That is what we are all praying for.
