Busy Weekend!

Last Weekend was so very busy! My mom has decided to retire from the school district, so the co-workers decided to throw her a surprise Retirement Party! She thought that she was going to our cousin's house for a going -away party for another co-worker that is getting married! Boy was she surprised when she showed up and it was actually for her!! HAHA!

Then on Saturday, Kailee had that opportunity to dance at a Special Kind of competition called Power of Dance! At this competition, the dancers are dancing for a Charity! Her studio danced for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Any Charity is close to my heart, since we have been affect by so many! Kailee and her team did an amazing job, and even captured the "Spirit of Dance" award! That was a great accomplishment!
Also on Saturday, my brother and sister-in-law had an adoption shower for the adorable little ones that they are adopting! It was held at the Loft of the Dubliner. Very interesting place! I would love to come back and actually have time to enjoy myself there! I think that they got a lot of donations to take to the adoption home when they travel! I am so excited to become an Aunt, and Karter can not wait to show them all of his toys! He even says that he is going to SHARE! WOW!
Sunday, was nothing more than doing laundry and trying to stay awake! It was a busy, and fast weekend, but it was a lot of fun!

Where did MARCH GO?

Karter had an Easter party at Karate last week! It was a Hawaiian Themed Party and the entire family was invited! Kolin thought it was a little loud, but Karter greatly enjoyed it! As you can see, Everyone had a great time! What a nice thing for the Karate Instructor to do! We had a lot of fun, and Kolin even finally joined in the fun! I did feel sorry for the later next to us, because once Kolin decided it would be fun to beat the bucket with drum sticks, he became a WILD DRUMMER!!! Reminded me of a ROCK STAR!! GO KOLIN!

Spring Break, Where did you go?

So, yesterday was our Spring Break! yep, that is right, only one day for spring break! But I must admit, it was gorgous outside.

Kailee had a friend spend the night, and since I am down to driving my husbands old, brown truck, affectionately called "the honeywagon", I left the girls at home while I tried to run some errands around town. First stop, the BANK! Karter thinks that you can just go in the bank and take money out. He doesn't understand that you actually have to have money in the bank to take it out! He also looks forward to the sucker that he usually gets. So, Kolin and Karter and I ventured into the bank! So, far, not too bad!

Next stop, A different BANK! This time, thru the DRIVE THRU! Did I mention that Kolin really does not like enclosed spaces like DRIVE THRU LANES? So, needless to say it was a quick trip to the Bank.

Then it was off to the Dr. Office. Both boys have a terrible cough, green junk coming out of their noses and Kolin was complaining of his ear hurting. Both boys have Sinus Infections! YEAH!

Quick stop at McDonald's for Happy Meals, and I did ask for the iCarly toys, but the boys got Star Wars instead and were very unhappy!

Final destination, County Revue Collector. Found a place to park, thank heaven! All three of us needed to use the restroom, quick stop. Then on to pay the dreaded TAXES! Which I don't understand WHY I am paying taxes on something that has been owned by my family for atleast a Century! No joke, 15 people in line ahead of me! I thought, I could have the boys sit and wait, but they only had one person working, HONESTLY 1 PERSON, what is wrong with you people! After about 5 minutes of Karter asking "how much longer" and Kolin swatting at people, I decided that my taxes would have to wait for another day! We quickly hurried out of there! Only to find that some "wonderful" person had parked so close to the bumper of the "honeywagon" that I really had a difficult time getting out of the parking spot!

Finally, we made it home, all in one piece! Then I learn that my TRUCK still is not finished, the girls ate all the ice cream and the house looked like it threw up! NO JOKING! So, what does any mom do, tells Karter it is time for a NAP, because MOM, really needs one! After about an hour of restless napping, Karter and I head downstairs to see what the girls are doing and Kolin and find that they have used the banisters on the stairwell as a TENT!

So, I cleaned up the mess up, started supper ! Then took Kailee to dance, came back home, and then went back and picked Kailee up from DANCE!

AND THAT WAS MY WONDERFUL SPRING BREAK!!!

Exhausted Weekend!!

This past weekend, Kailee had her first dance competition of the season. I am very proud of how well she did! The pictures are from her solo and she really enjoys dancing this dance.

It has been a very difficult past week. My beloved truck decided to start making a terrible noise, and so I took it to the shop and got horrible news. I need a new engine. My truck is kind of old, but it just what my family needs, so the great debate was on about whether get a new engine or find a different vehicle that we could pay cash for. The debate is still going on, so who knows what will happen, but I can tell you, I MISS MY TRUCK!!

Karter is going in next week for some more tests. I am hoping that they can figure what is going on with my baby. Keep him in your prayers.

KRAZY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY!!!!

First of all let me tell you how excited I am that I am very soon going to be called "Aunt"! Yes, I have a niece and some nephews on my husbands side and that is great, but I am now officially an AUNT on my side!! Very excited!!

That is how my TUESDAY started! AUNT!! Then it was off to Special Olympics Training with Kolin, Karate with Karter and ending with Pointe for Ms. Kailee.

Crazy, Crazy Days!!

Thursday was even crazier! Kailee had solo! This is her adorable new costume!! and See Karter, hiding out in the back! HAHA!! Then Karter had his very first Karate Kata Tournament!! He has only been taking Karate since the end of January (literally, the very last week!). He cracked me up! He had to do this Kata(forms) and it was a block and a punch. Well he did OK the first time and won 3rd place!! Then they had to do it again, and he decided that he didn't want to do the "Block and Punch" routine, so he made his own routine of "kicking" up. I think some of the judges were laughing so hard, that they couldn't score him!! He won 3rd place again!! He was so cute out there!! Look how excited Kolin is for his brother!!
