Busy Weekend

Check this out!! We went to MUDFEST Saturday afternoon. Brian ususally goes and helps out, so the rest of us came out after Karter's soccer game, and after I did Demi's hair for homecoming (which, I might add, turned out GORGOUS!!). Brian took the four-wheeler (which are only allowed by STAFF) and the kids and I took the Ram Charger. Everyone had a great time! Karter even out to drive (someone else's vehicle)!! Kailee got to drive on Sunday, when there were a lot less people there, and she didn't do too bad!! Of course try to tell my neck that, she really knows how to hit the brakes hard!! So here are just a bunch of pictures showing how much fun everyone had at MUDFEST.

I did not get the truck stuff, Brian did!!

Another Week has flown by

Well, I can not believe that another week has just flown by! We have been so busy getting back into the swing of things with school and after school activities. Last Saturday, Karter had his very first SOCCER GAME!! It was so exciting! Of course he thought that he was "Tow-Mater" and tried to play the game backwards using his "REARVIEW MIRRORS", um, Karter, YOU don't have rearview mirrors!! Silly boy!

Kolin started back up at horseback riding therapy this week also! They have moved to a new location, but some of the neighbors aren't happy. They seem to think that a disability is contagious. CRAZY
people!! He loves to ride his horse JOEY! But that is not all that Kolin did on Monday, he also particiapated in his first SPECIAL OLYMPICS BOWLING. Kailee is his unified partner and they received a Bronze Medal. It was very exciting!!
Kailee is back into full swing of dance!! She is dancing 3 days a week, instead of 4, so that is better. She is also doing a New Solo this year, Jazz/hip-hop, she is in the Production, and she made the new Tap group!! Very exciting. Plus she is completely "En Pointe" now and loving it! This is the first year that she is taking hip-hop, so that is exciting. Her solo costume has already come in, and it is so cute!! Can't wait to get it all put together to post pictures!!
Well here is it is HOMECOMING, and the 8th graders that I teach are RESTLESS to say the least! They can not wait until it is Parade time, and then game time! Hopefully the team will win!!

Happy Labor Day!!!

Well, a wonderful 3 day weekend has just ended and it was just what the doctor ordered. Well, maybe not really! On Friday, Kolin was sent home from school with a stomach issue. He was not really all that sick! He told me Friday morning that he did not want to go to school, his exact words were Me-School-NO!! That should have been the first indication that he didn't want to go to school. Then, he hid his backpack. He took his schools and socks off after I had already put them on! I had to carry him to the truck!! So when the call came in at 9:00 am, really was I surprised? NO!?! So, I went to pick him up, and then daddie met us and took him home. He is such a little goose! When he gets it in his head that he doesn't want to do something, by golly, he is not going to do it!! ☺

Saturday was full of fun! I decided to clean out the truck! Not that it needed it at all! HA HA~ Kailee and Karter went with me, and it took us almost 3 hours to clean the inside, vaccum, and wash the outside! Crazy! Plus we had some visitors that stopped to see us at the car wash! Grandpa Joe gave Kailee a ride, after I had to send her for change at the gas station. Then he came back with Gloria, and it was her birthday Saturday, so Happy Birthday Gloria! Then Kailee's friend Autumn came to spend the night! I told her mom, that we might still be at the car wash, and we were, so she dropped her off there! Then we went to a Pig-Roast at Hooterville! It was a lot of fun! We took the 4-wheeler and the kids all got rides, we don't let them drive just yet! Of course the girls said that I was "lame" and drove to slow, but I didn't want to get muddy!! A good time was had by all!!

Sunday started out fine! We got up, missed church, took Autumn home, and then headed to Wal-Mart for a little shopping of groceries. We made it to Gerald, and Karter said he had to throw-up, so I tried to get stopped in time, but, NO SUCH LUCK! I cleaned him up and decided to head back home, but he insisted that he was OK and could handle the trip to Wal-Mart. (I think that he thought he was going to get a toy.) We did our shopping in Wal-Mart, I got burgers for everyone at McDonald's and we almost made it half the way home and Karter was throwing up again! This time I got the window rolled down, so instead of in the car, it was ON THE CAR! Once again, cleaned him up, stopped at the Car Wash, rinsed off the yuckiness, and headed home. I put Karter to bed to rest his tummy and then put the groceries away. He took a little nap, I had a HUGE HEADACHE, and then he was fine! I have NO idea what was wrong with him!! Don't laugh at poor Sophie!! She had surgery last Wednesday, and has to wear that STUPID cone for another week! I am so tired of the cone!!

Monday was a fun day. NO BODY WAS SICK!! YEAH!! We BBQ'd and my parents came over. Supper was wonderful. I made a cake that was very interesting, it was called Chocolate Chip Pudding Cake! It was so YUMMY!! I made my own buttercream icing for it and mum mum good!!

Today is Karter's first day of Pre-school! He is so excited! I hope all goes well and he can actually keep his lips zipped enough that he doesn't get in trouble! He was all decked out in a cute outfit and new shoes! Check him out! Isn't he such a big man!!
