Manic Monday

Just another Manic Monday- Weekend was great!! SNOW could you believe that we got snow! It was very pretty and I was glad that it was over very fast! It melted quicker than Karter could get out and play in it.

So, lets talk about the weekend. Kailee was able to have her BFF spend the night on Friday night. We did a frantic search for Argyle socks on Friday night. Kailee needed them for her production on Saturday morning, so off to Target we went. We did find them. Her BFF came with us to the competition and Kailee did great! She was in three dances, production, trio and solo! Here is a couple of pics from the weekend.
The boys stayed with Grandma, and they had a great time. Always fun hanging out with Grandma. Then on Sunday we did some much needed grocery shopping and tried to clean house. But they didn't work so well. Then Heidi came over and I messed with her hair to try and see how I was going to do for her Wedding on Saturday. It is going to be GREAT! Karter can not wait to put on his "Dave" clothes. But he did remind me that we forgot "Dave"socks and shoes. So, I guess I am going to have to find some of them soon.
DON"T I repeat Don't make Brownies with canola oil. They taste awful!! Always use vegetable oil, it is much better.
Now onto another crazy week: Kolin has to visit the ENT tomorrow, and we are hoping for NO SURGERY, but he keeps getting a cronic sinus infection and ear infection, so we will see. The end of the week is all about the wedding, rehearsal, wedding, and present opening.

Horse-in around

Kolin has horseback riding last night! He was supposed to ride on Saturday, but they are actually calling for some really COLD weather, and I hate COLD weather! So, the wonderful ladies at EE allowed us to come ride last night, where the weather was much more enjoyable! Let me tell, Kolin put on a show! I don't know if it was because he was in a larger group or if he was trying to "impress" the ladies that were in his group. But let me tell you he was a HAM! He completely made his entire routine up himself, and he was so comfortable on the horse that he was laying down, had his legs swung to one side, he even "Struck a Pose" in a GQ style. What a little HAM. I will say that he completely enjoyed it and so did everyone else, once they got over the scare that he was going to fall! :) His horse, Chance, was acting up last night, maybe it was the change in the weather that is coming, who knows.

Just Another Manic Monday

Manic Monday by the Bangles certainly describles how I feel about MONDAYS! I really think that we have this whole week, weekend think wrong. Why should be work 5 days a week, and only be rewarded with 2 days of weekend, I say we should reverse it! Who's with me! Ok, so the title really should be "Just another Manic Weekend". My weekends are so busy, there is not enough hours in each day!

So, on Saturday Kolin had horseback riding at 9 and Kailee had to be at dance at......... you guessed it 9. So, luckily, daddy took Kailee and I loaded the boys and went to horseback. Kolin did awesome! Karter was covered in sand by the end but all was good! Then we had to rush to dance to pick Kailee up for a local performance, which she needed hair and make-up and costume for. Then rush again to the bank, then back for a baby shower (which I took the present in and then left, bad headache). Quick trip to find an outfit for the bridal shower on the next day, back home to rest a few minutes before a fun and relaxing (after the doctor calls and pharmacy calls) evening with great friends. So, a little about the doctor calls and pharmacy calls, Kolin (and everybody else in the household including grandma and grandpa) needed to take a preventative medication to try and help him not get so sick all the time. So, I had the doctor call it in to one pharmacy, not knowing that they were closed, so I had to call him back at home, and ask him to call it into a different pharmacy, one that was actually open. Then the pharmacy called and I had to talk to them, all in the middle of a Trivia Night, but after all of that I was able to relax and enjoy the company of good friends, cause the Lord knows we were not there to win! LOL! So, that was just Saturday, then comes Sunday.

We missed church, lets just start that way. We all over slept. Then I decided that the house needed a massive cleaning. Maybe Kolin was getting sick all the time because the house was a mess, so I enlisted the help of my mom, bless her heart, to help me completely clean the house! We scrubbed and vaccummed and mopped and did laundry for about 2 hours, then I had to get the Kolin ready for a photo op, and get Kailee and Karter ready for a bridal shower. All went well with the photo op, thanks to daddy letting Kolin hang on his head for it! LOL! Then we went to the bridal shower for my neice Heidi. Here is a picture of boys enjoying their cake outside. Too many people inside yelling at them to get out of the way, so we decided to have a picnic outside. I don't think that bridal showers are that much fun to little boys! BUT the cake sure is good!
Now it is Monday, Manic Monday again, and we have work (can you believe they actually want me to work), eye doctor appointment, dance and a coaches meeting for softball. Plus don't forget laundry, supper, bedtime baths, stories to read and homework. JUST ANOTHER MANIC MONDAY!

First Friday with a Blog!

Ok, so I have been reading Megan's blog religiously and decided it was probably finally time that I start one of my own. I am 30 something, married to the man of my dreams, and have three wonderful children. I teach 8th grade Technology and LOVE IT! I have spent many years teaching the elementary children and really enjoyed it, but I have finally found my true calling, 8th graders, can you believe it.

Let me tell you a little about my kiddos:

Kailee is my first born and she was put on this wonderful earth to entertain. She loves to dance, sing, and act. She does competitive dance and gymnastics. This girl lives, breathes, and sleeps dance. We had our first competition of the season last weekend and she was amazing! She does a tap solo, and a jazz trio. This pic is from her tap solo. She also loves to play softball! She really enjoys the game and loves being outside. I am crazy enough to actually attempt to be an assistant coach this year. CRAZY!! She is an awesome student and a GREAT Big Sis!

Kolin is the "man in the middle". He is our miracle baby! He was born, much to our surprise with Down Syndrome and a very bad heart. He spent most of his first few months in St. Louis Children's Hospital, and eventually underwent Open Heart Surgery at 9 weeks of age to repair an AV Canal Defect. He since has undergone over 10 different surgeries for many different reasons, and we are currently looking at the possibilty of another one soon. But BOY, he is a trooper. He is such a joy to have!! The Lord gave us this special little boy to remind us of all the little things that we were taking for granted! We love having the opportunity to spoil him rotten and Love him. He is in kindergarten and doing great. He is mainstreamed into a "regular" education classroom with an amazing teacher. He loves to ride his horse at Exceptional Equestrians, and he also love to play "Baseball" on the Wii.

And then there were three! Karter was a wonderful addition to our family! He is the "baby" and boy right now is he showing it! He is in the terrible threes, I am not sure why anyone said the 2's were bad, they must not have had a three year old! Although every night before we go to sleep he does tell me he loves me and can't wait to marry me! ☺ How cute is that! Karter is just about into everything that he shouldn't be! He loves to annoy his brother and sister, and mess with their things! But he is very helpful (when he wants to be). Karter right now is very excited about being the ring bearer in my neice's wedding in April. Actually Kolin and Karter are the ring bearers (pray for no wrestling down the aisle) and Kailee is a bridesmaid/candlelighter/guest book attendant/anything else that she is needed for. Karter calls his outfit, his "Dave Seville clothes" and every morning he asks, is it time to wear my "Dave" clothes yet?
So, that is our happy family! Keep track of us, as well head into the most hectic times, wedding, dance comps., baby showers, photo shoots, softball practice, horseback riding, dance class, gymnastic class, 4-H, oh, and did I mention that I do work FULL -time, so end of school, MAP testing and much much more!
